Ingredients:

  • 1 lb (450g) steak (sirloin or ribeye), cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 red bell pepper, thinly sliced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • ½ tsp crushed red pepper flakes (optional, for heat)
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • Salt & black pepper, to taste
  • 2 cups marinara or zesty tomato sauce
  • 1½ cups beef broth
  • 8 oz rigatoni pasta (uncooked)
  • Chopped fresh parsley (for garnish)
  • Grated Parmesan cheese (optional, for serving)

Instructions:

  1. Sear the Steak:
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high. Add steak bites, season with salt and pepper, and sear until browned (about 3–4 minutes). Remove and set aside.
  2. Sauté the Veggies:
In the same skillet, add bell pepper and garlic. Cook for 2–3 minutes until slightly softened.
  3. Simmer the Sauce:
Add marinara, beef broth, red pepper flakes (if using), Italian seasoning, and dry rigatoni. Stir everything well to coat.
  4. Cook the Pasta:
Cover and let simmer over medium heat for 12–14 minutes, stirring occasionally, until pasta is tender and sauce thickens.
  5. Finish & Serve:
Return steak to the skillet and stir to heat through. Garnish with fresh parsley and grated Parmesan. Serve hot!
