Ingredients:
For the Steak & Shrimp:
- ½ lb sirloin steak, sliced thin
- ½ lb large shrimp, peeled & deveined
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 1 tsp chili powder
- ½ tsp garlic powder
- ½ tsp cumin
- Salt & pepper, to taste
- Juice of ½ lime
For the Tacos:
- 6 small flour or corn tortillas
- 1 cup shredded lettuce or cabbage
- ½ cup diced tomatoes or pico de gallo
- ¼ cup red onion, thinly sliced
- 1 avocado, sliced
- Fresh cilantro, for garnish
- Lime wedges, for serving
Optional Chipotle Sauce:
- ¼ cup sour cream
- 1 tbsp mayo
- 1 tsp chipotle in adobo (minced)
- Juice of ½ lime
- Salt to taste
Instructions:
1️⃣ Season the Proteins:
In a bowl, toss steak and shrimp with olive oil, paprika, chili powder, garlic powder, cumin, lime juice, salt, and pepper.
2️⃣ Cook the Steak & Shrimp:
Heat a skillet or grill over medium-high heat.
- Cook steak for 2–3 minutes per side until nicely browned.
- Add shrimp and cook 1–2 minutes per side until pink and opaque.
3️⃣ Warm the Tortillas:
Lightly toast tortillas in a dry skillet or wrap them in foil and heat in the oven for 5 minutes.
4️⃣ Assemble the Tacos:
Layer shredded lettuce, steak, shrimp, tomato, onion, and avocado in each tortilla. Drizzle with chipotle sauce (if using) and top with cilantro.
