Steak with Creamy Cajun Shrimp Sauce

Juicy seared steak topped with a rich, spicy Cajun cream sauce loaded with tender shrimp — this dish is pure indulgence! It’s the kind of bold, satisfying meal that’ll have everyone asking for seconds.

Ingredients (Serves 2–4):

For the Steak:
• 2 ribeye or sirloin steaks
• Salt & black pepper, to taste
• 1 tsp smoked paprika
• 1 tbsp olive oil
• 1 tbsp butter

For the Cajun Shrimp Sauce:
• ½ lb large shrimp, peeled & deveined
• 2 tbsp butter
• 2 cloves garlic, minced
• 1 cup heavy cream
• ½ cup grated Parmesan
• 1 tsp Cajun seasoning (plus extra to taste)
• ½ tsp smoked paprika
• Fresh parsley (for garnish)
• Optional: pinch of red pepper flakes for extra heat

Instructions:

Sear the Steaks:
Pat steaks dry. Season with salt, pepper, and smoked paprika.
Heat olive oil and butter in a hot skillet. Sear steaks 3–4 minutes per side or until desired doneness. Remove and rest.

Make the Cajun Shrimp Sauce:
In the same skillet, melt 2 tbsp butter.
Add garlic and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.
Add shrimp and cook 1–2 minutes per side until just pink. Remove and set aside.
Pour in cream, then stir in Parmesan, Cajun seasoning, paprika, and red pepper flakes if using.
Simmer 3–4 minutes until sauce thickens slightly. Return shrimp to the pan and stir to coat.

Assemble & Serve:
Plate the steaks and generously spoon the creamy Cajun shrimp sauce over each. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve hot.
